The American oft stated position of promoting peace and democracy across our world is beginning to fall upon deaf ears. The same old rhetoric, the sames old lies. But Hillary, blithely preaching these same old, worn out platitudes with absolutely no history to back her up is getting more than a little boring. Do American politicians know their history of violence? Or, do they choose to ignore the truths of Manifest Destiny, the Covert Wars that have infected a planet and their American Interests above all else.
Perhaps boring is not the right word. Unenlightened bull shit might be a better description of her epaulets. Nonsense, irrelevant drivel, posturing etc. Her statements are pretty meaningless except that the media will always quote an American leader. Perhaps international media should try to avoid quoting some of the foolishness that arises. unchecked, from the throats of American polititians. I think not. But I do think we should make comment on the USA airwaves about their vocal stupidity.
Quite frankly I don't believe there are many Americans that can fight their way out of the stars and stripes that enfolds them and take a tentative step into reason. Their hurry to be noted as patriotic washes away any thoughtful meaning of what really goes on in our world.
Now, before many of you Americans vent yourselves by suggesting I back Quadaffi; please get a life. And, no, I'm not blaming blaming America for this assault on the people of Libya.
Tony Blair initiated the sales of arms from Britain. Now why he would do this is anybody's guess. Of course, getting money and getting oil are the top priorities for rich countries like Britain. Nevertheless, when it comes to Quadaffi's totalitarianism it is countries such as Britain that should have been getting together to agree to not sell weapons and to not buy oil and to not have their interests supersede those of our whole world.
I'm not suggesting total embargoes upon Libya would be effective. They've not been effective in other places and have resulted in ordinary people being driven into poverty. The result of embargoes upon Iraq have meant that children not getting medicines and proper food had a death rate rise to three times the norm. Even at that President Reagan manipulated the embargo measures, to not help ailing families, but to arm Iraq to vent a proxy war upon Iran. This is real dirty and the actions of a psychopath. Reagan was, therefor, a war criminal.
Just take a second to think about this. Because of America and Reagan, Iraq`s Saddam Hussein, who was a CIA asset since 1958, at one punch killed 3,000 Iranians with chemicals made available by Reagan, information made available by American spy satellites and delivery systems made available, once again, by Reagan.
However, the nations selling the most arms to Libya are Russia, Italy, France, Britain and South Africa. The selling of arms to Libya defies logical thought. There has been no doubt, through the years, that Libya is ruled by a megalomaniac. But countries of the west at the bequest of the mighty 'dollar' have prostituted themselves by selling out to Quadaffi and his crowd. It's disgusting that a thousand plus have died in the streets of Tripoli with weapons of many of the west and Russia.
Too many economies in our world are dependent upon the sales of arms and the intravenous collapsed veins of their addiction to oil. The corporate powers that be own some economies, such as the USA economy, which sells the most arms of any country. Without the almost continual war the USA economy would fall flat upon its face. Simply said the USA has to continue dropping million dollar missiles upon innocent people or their economy will collapse.
However, for the most part, the USA has managed to keep out of the ignorant arms sales to Libya. It's not often I can say something good about the USA but in this case I'm pleased about their keeping out of Libya arms deals. But what will follow Hillary`s silly remarks is something else altogether.
